Idyllwild has an astounding number of local non-profits, we could not possibly list them all here. Saunders Meadow HOA however encourages its members to consider some of these notable organization in their charitable giving.
Idyllwild Community Center
Idyllwild Community Center exists to enhance the quality of life for every resident of the hill communities and visitors to the area, by creating vibrant recreational, cultural, and social opportunities for all ages at multiple locations in the beautiful village of Idyllwild.
ICC organizes many of our local recreation and entertainment events including the Idyllwild Summer Concerts, to the Halloween Carnival, to the Harvest Festival and Tree Lighting, to the Community Center Playground, to art and sports activities for children, and many more.
Idyllwild Help Center
The Idyllwild Help Center has long provided assistance to the greater Idyllwild area. Helping those in need by providing services such as: 1 weekly bag of non-perishable food items, firewood for heating, health and hygiene products and when grant funding is available: utility assistance and medical assistance.
Mountain Community Mutual Aid
Mountain Community Mutual Aid is a loosely organized, nonpartisan, non-denominational, nonprofit, diverse group of wholehearted residents of the San Jacinto Mountains working together to share timely and tangible assistance with our neighbors impacted by the COVID-19 virus and its economic consequences.
Idyllwild Art Alliance
Idyllwild Art Alliance focus on “creating community through art”. They organize many local events including the Annual Art Walk and Wine Tasting, Idyllwild grown art Deer Herd, Easter Art Fair and more.
Idyllwild Area Historical Society
Idyllwild Area Historical Society is independent, award winning, local historical society that is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the San Jacinto Mountains since it’d founding in 2001. IAHS has collected a large number of artifacts and history which are displayed in their local museum, opened in 2003, which garners more than 5000 visits per year. IAHS also organized several events each year including the very popular area home tour.
Idyllwild Snow Play
Idyllwild Snow Play works to educate visitors on safe and permitted snow play opportunities in and around Idyllwild, while discouraging trespassing on private property and illegal parking.
